Live your life

I think books are powerful things. This book I am going to quote from is a most brilliant piece of literary achievement. It is No. 6 of 11 books in a series by Terry Goodkind, called The Sword of Truth Series. The book is called Faith of The Fallen.

“Evil is not one large entity, but a collection of countless, small depravities brought up from the much by petty men. Living under the Order, you have traded the enrichment of vision for a Gray fog of mediocrity, – the fertile inspiration of striving and growth, for the mindless stagnation and slow decay – the brave new ground of the attempt, for the timid quagmire of apathy…You have traded freedom not even for a bowl of soup, but worse, for the spoken empty feeling of others who say that you deserve to have a full bowl of soup provided by someone else. Happiness, joy accomplishment, achievement…are not finite commodities, to be divided up. Is a child’s laughter to be divided up and allotted? No! Simply make more laughter!”
“Every persons life is theirs by right. An individual’s life can be and must belong only to himself, not to any society or community, or he is then but a slave. No one can deny another person their right to their life, nor seize by force what is produced by someone else, because that is stealing their means to sustain their life. It is treason against mankind to hold a knife to a man’s throat and dictate how he must live his life.”

Once again I am not going to explain the point here. I want you to read it and think for yourself. I can’t tell you how to live. Or how to think. But I can give you the means by which you can discover it. Enjoy.

The Spectral Crossroads

The spectral crossroads

White spectral wind,
Blowing the lunar dust
In spiral beauty.
Eyes like diamonds in the ruff,
Like swords of the ancient samurai.
Sharp, cold, merciless.
A warrior I see.
A warrior he will be.

White spectral wind,
Blowing the lunar dust
A torrent of shattered dreams
Mesmerizing my mind.

When I rest, and sleep,
I see the crossroads.
A desert land, a pool of water,
Ten doors and a mirror.
A place of meeting minds.

(A door to my mind,
Or to someone else’s?)

His eyes look through me and I see hate.
His mind passes over me and I feel hate.
Hate.

A White spectral wind,
Blowing through my mind,
Stirring the lunar dust.
Stirring my mind.

This is a poem I wrote a while back, tell me what you think.

Balance

I have been thinking alot recently and, for the longest time I believed that the best thing to do in life is to be nice to everyone to be happy all the time but that just made me sick and tired and angry…I see now that my soul is not inclined that way I am a creature of balance…Good and bad are just words, they have no resonance with me…I do what is right..based on logic and reason. Not wishes and disillusionment. I am very much changing now…my life is shaping in to what it is…I see now that kindness and happiness all the time is just as destructive as anger and resentment all the time…a balance must be found in the Microcosm before one can be sought in the macrocosm…The darkness and the light must be brought to bear…they must be dragged into the open and sorted out. There is no dishonour in doing a “Bad” thing to help the world, nor is their honour in doing a “Good” thing.

Daily Wisdom

The next time you set a goal for yourself. Don’t just think about what your going to lose. Think about where you are going.
For example. “I want to lose weight” Ok thats good enough to set you off. But when you have lost “Weight” then where do you go? Back to old habits? Back to FAT.

NO. Set the Goal in your mind but define where you want to go .

I want to be healthy enough to do any sporting activity I want, and I want to look super hot in even the most scruffiest clothes” etc..etc..

As Within, So Without

Our internal relationship with ourself is more important than you might think. What goes on inside your head, your fears, your loves, your worries, you hopes, your dream all that is reflected in the world around you. If you don’t believe me think back to when you woke up feeling like crap, your day just spiralled right? Yeah well that is your internal reflection. I like to think of the world around as a mirror for your soul.

Now look at people who have everything they want in life, or are well on their way to achieve it. Look at their world around them. Nice house, nice car, nice spouse, nice kids maybe, nice job, nice clothes, smart, clean everything you want to be really. Everything you want to HAVE. Look at how they think. Look at how the act. Even how they speak. How they walk. How they sit. Watch them smile, or frown or look around in amazement and you will see something remarkably different about them when you look at yourself. They are not restrained by negative thoughts such as failure or fear. As a result of this thinking they don’t meet anything that could cause fear or failure.

That’s right. In their reality there is NO failure, if they do not focus on failure, then it doesn’t show up in their reality.

This is a relatively short post and for good reason. I want you to think about this yourself. Don’t let me spoon feed you. Just you think about it! And come to your own conclusions about your life.
